Doña Ana County will launch the first phase of a new, paperless online application and recruitment system beginning Monday, June 28, 2010.
Upon full implementation, the new system will allow applicants to create job-interest cards, store and update employment information, apply online for job opportunities and check the status of applications. In addition, the system will allow electronic access to the county’s job-position and classification database.
Phase one of the project aims to do away with paper application forms and let individuals apply online. Beginning June 28, paper job applications will no longer be accepted by the Doña Ana County Human Resources Department.
“This new system will be a highly efficient and convenient way for people to apply for employment opportunities with Doña Ana County,” said Doña Ana County Manager Brian D. Haines. “By streamlining the recruitment and application process, we’ll reduce the time between when applications are accepted and when hiring decisions are implemented. We’re looking forward to a process that is simplified and improved for both applicants and the county.”
The Doña Ana County Human Resources Department has installed two computers in its lobby for prospective applicants who do not have access to a computer and/or the Internet.
