FIREWORKS ISSUE WILL BE DISCUSSED MAY 28

At the request of District 5 Commissioner William J. 'Bill' McCamley, an agenda item regarding Doña Ana County’s fireworks ordinance has been pulled from the May 13 agenda and has been moved to the May 28 agenda for further discussion.

“Normally, changes to a commission agenda are not publicized in advance,” said Assistant County Manager M. Sue Padilla. “This issue, however, is clearly important to a great number of residents, and we want to make sure their input is heard at the correct time and place.”

The second regular meeting of the Doña Ana County Board of Commissioners will be held at 9 a.m. Wednesday, May 28, in the Commission Chambers of the Doña Ana County Government Center at 845 N. Motel Blvd., in Las Cruces.
