The Doña Ana County Emergency Operations Center has been activated, and personnel from multiple agencies are on hand to deploy resources as needed. Powerful regional storms are being tracked from the Emergency Operations Center.

The Doña Ana County Sheriff's Department is investigating a tornado sighting near Picacho Avenue west of the City of Las Cruces. There are no confirmed reports of injuries or severe property damage as yet. Officials with the National Weather Service warn that tornadoes and hail are probable.
