COUNTY OFFICES TO CLOSE FOR LABOR DAY HOLIDAY
Most Dona Ana County offices will be closed Monday, Sept. 7, 2009, to allow employees to observe the Labor Day holiday. Emergency services and law enforcement in the field will not be affected, but the administrative offices of the Doña Ana County Sheriff's Department will be closed. read more...

SHERIFF GARRISON ENCOURAGES GOLF TOURNAMENT PARTICIPATION
Doña Ana County Sheriff Todd Garrison is encouraging golfers throughout Doña Ana County to register for the SNAP Classic Golf Tournament, proceeds from which will help pay for low-cost pet spay/neuter operations utilizing the Doña Ana County Sheriff¹s Department’s mobile animal-surgery van.

EARLY VOTING BEGINS AUGUST 25 IN ADVANCE OF SEPT. 22 ELECTION
Early voting gets underway at 8 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 25, at the Doña Ana County Government Center, in advance of the Sept. 22 election, which will determine whether a ¼ percent sales tax will continue to be collected to support operational costs for Doña Ana County’s 16 volunteer fire districts. Early voting will continue through Sept. 19 during normal business hours, excluding weekends and holidays. The only exception will be Saturday, Sept 19, when the Doña Ana County Government Center polling location will be open from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
