Hatch village officials report that line breaks repaired yesterday are holding strong, and wells have refilled two of the village’s three collection tanks. The third tank is approaching capacity.

WATER LINES REPAIRED TO HATCH

The New Mexico Environment Department reports that crews have repaired water lines that supply the village. The line breaks were between the village’s well and the storage tank, so there was no danger of water line contamination. Tests conducted earlier today confirm the drinking water is safe for human use and consumption. read more...

HATCH WATER SUPPLY UNCOMPROMISED, TESTS SHOW

Experts from the New Mexico Environment Department have concluded testing of the Village of Hatch’s water supply and distribution system. Chlorine levels at the storage tank and at multiple test sites throughout the village are consistent, indicating that the water supply is safe for consumption.
