COUNTY ANNOUNCES EXTERNAL AGENCY FUNDING FOR HEALTH SERVICES
Doña Ana County has announced its annual open application period for external agency health-services funding for the period of July 1, 2008, through June 30, 2009. Completed applications must be returned by 3 p.m., Wednesday, March 12, 2008, to the Health and Human Services Department offices at the Doña Ana County Government Center, 845 N. VISION 2040 INTRODUCTORY MEETINGS ANNOUNCED
Doña Ana County and the City of Las Cruces are working together on a long-range regional planning project called Vision 2040. This two-year project will anticipate and evaluate the needs of the region for the next thirty years, and identify ways the city and county should act to meet those needs. Specific topics will include growth and land use, transportation and infrastructure, environmental issues, affordable housing, economic development and many others. read more...

TAYLOR ROAD CLOSURE ANNOUNCED

SUBDIVISION-REGULATION CHANGES AVAILABLE FOR REVIEW, COMMENT
The Doña Ana County Planning Department has completed a draft revision of the county’s subdivision regulations. The new, proposed regulations are now available for public review and comment prior to being submitted to the Doña Ana County Planning and Zoning Commission and, ultimately, the Doña Ana County Board of Commissioners for approval. read more...

COUNTY OFFICES, SOLID-WASTE TRANSFER STATIONS ANNOUNCE HOLIDAY SCHEDULE
Most Dona Ana County offices will be closed Monday, Jan. 21, 2008, to allow employees to observe the Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., holiday. . Emergency services and law enforcement in the field will not be affected, but the administrative offices of the Doña Ana County Sheriff's Department will be closed.

CHILD INJURED IN TRAILER FIRE; INVESTIGATION UNDERWAY
